My name is Johanna Vári,
founder of ReVamp Decor, a mosaic-, and a creative artist.
I make and repair home decorations and household items in the spirit of recycling.
All my work is unique, because there is no two piece of the same. I mostly buy the materials at flea markets, garage sales, and thrift stores, or I transform them from garbage to decorations, so I give them a new life, a second chance before they actually become trash.
Feminine forms, natural elements and spirituality characterize my works.
What I use in addition to glass mosaic art: furniture painting, decoupage technique, mandala art, wire bending, sewing, painting with acrylics.
Environmental awareness has been a part of my life for a long time. Since my childhood, it has been important not to waste. This has become even stronger in me throughout life, so I try to produce as little waste as possible. In general, I can easily see the artistic possibilities in recycling. There is usually serious planning before the creation, sometimes I work on an object for a week or more before it becomes a finished work.
